FRECKLE MATH

Freckle Math from Renaissance Learning is an interactive, individualized program which can be used at school and at home. There are over one thousand learning activities for students ages 5-18, which respond to each student’s strengths and weaknesses as determined through regular STAR testing throughout the year. This allows students to work through the program at their own pace. The animated tutorials allow students to receive extra help. Students and teachers receive instant feedback on progress. Tutorials and feedback allow students to receive additional assistance in the classroom and at home. Our math teachers will have students accessing the program in class as part of the course content. Freckle Math will benefit not only students and staff, but just as importantly the parents as they are able to monitor what students are doing and support the learning that is occurring in class.  In addition to the above, there are also interactive games to play that allow students to increase their confidence and understanding in a whole range of topics. The website is a safe and controlled environment where students are able to work mathematically and are also able to play mathematical games  in a safe environment.
